For those who prefer it, there are shorter walks in and around Eastbourne and the surrounding countryside. Eastbourne also has several beautiful Parks and Gardens for a leisurely stroll, one of the best being Gildredge Park and Manor Gardens, just literally over the road from The Manse.
Bus and train travel can be incorporated conveniently into your plans if required, as The Manse is only five minutes walk away from the stop for the bus which serves the Coast, Downland or Friston Forest and the Cuckmere Valley (just to the west of the town) or ten minutes from the the train station, both with frequent services.
